Hello and welcome to another lovely weekend. Today, we will be looking at the three (3) ways you can scale up the security of the funds in your Boundlesspay account. If you're new to the Boundlesspay platform, CLICK HERE to read an introductory post about it.
Tip: Apart from the official methods, we will share some extra tips and practices you can adopt to further secure your online accounts and devices at the end of this post. Keep reading….
Unlike Bitfxt Exchange, where you must complete all three levels of KYC verification before gaining access to the full features of the platform, Boundlesspay allows you access to all the features and services it offers with just your login details. But, does this mean you should not take extra care to secure your funds?
Boundlesspay has in place, impregnable security measures to ensure your account and cryptocurrency assets remain safe and secure, but ultimately, security is a shared responsibility.
Money is hard to make, easy to lose and mostly impossible to recover therefore, here are three (3) actionable steps you can take to add an extra layer of security to your funds.
When choosing a password for your Boundlesspay account, avoid short, simple words including any that is similar to your name or email address. For instance, if your name is John Doe and your email address is firstname.lastname@example.org, your password should not contain the word John, Doe, or both.
We also recommend using a password manager like Lastpass, 1password, or Dashlane to easily generate and securely store unique passwords for all of your online accounts. If you are neither comfortable with password managers, use a pass phrase (a sentence or group of four or more words) for your account. However, take caution when choosing this option and do not use a phrase from a book or movie as hackers have access to sophisticated database of such quotes.
Remember, NEVER disclose your password to anyone. Bitfxt admins and support will NEVER ask for your password or keys.
To get started, login to your Boundlesspay account by clicking HERE. Enter your email address and password. Go to the options menu at the top right of your screen and select "Account". Enter your Old Password and then carefully enter your New Strong Password.
The second security measure we recommend is the Two-Factor Authentication. It involves the use of mobile authentication apps such as Google authenticator or Authy which provides you with time based On-time passwords for every login. With this in place, the chances of your account getting compromised is drastically reduced.
To verify using KYC, login to your Boundlesspay account by clicking HERE. Enter your email address and password. Go to the options menu at the top right of your screen and select "Account". Under your User ID, you should find the option for KYC. Select "Verify Using Okra". You will be required to login to your bank account. Next, follow the onscreen steps and you're good to go.
Utilize anti-virus protection and scan your device regularly.
Keep your device updated with all of the most recent operating system and security updates.
Keep your browsers updated
Stay away from clicking phishing and suspicious links.
Enable a phone password and screen lock on your device.
If you're using a SIM based 2 step verification, activate SIM lock on your phone which can be found in the Settings panel.
Secure your email. First, visit Haveibeenpwned.com to see whether or not your email address has ever been compromised in a third-party data breach. If it has, change your password immediately by using the tips above.
